The clinical use of MRI in the radiotherapy simulation and planning process has increased rapidly in the last few years, and most Radiotherapy Departments either require access to MR scanners or have acquired dedicated standalone MR-SIM systems within the department. One of the most active areas of implementation of MR-SIM is for pelvic anatomical sites such as the prostate, rectum and for gynaecological applications. These developments have created the need for professionals within the radiotherapy team to have not only an understanding of the physical and clinical principles of MRI, but also the practical process for its site specific implementation as a modality within Radiotherapy.

By bringing together leading experts in the field, this one day event will provide a comprehensive overview of the current and developing role of MRI in radiotherapy planning for Clinical Oncologists, Radiologists, Radiographers, and Medical Physicists. Through a series of lectures, user experience presentations and interactive clinical hands on delineation workshops, the Study Day covers:

• Multidisciplinary MR Protocol Optimisation for Radiotherapy applications in the Pelvis

• Hands On Delineation Workshop – Prostate
• Hands On Delineation Workshop – Gynecologic Brachytherapy
• MR Only Treatment Planning for Prostate – Hands On Workshop
